A puppy I was expecting to purchase acquired "kennel cough" from the kennel (70+ dogs) where I had placed a reserve on him. The owner is very reputable and honestly informed me of the situation. However, my concern is "How long is it possible for the pup in question to be a threat to my other grown dogs and very young puppies?" I have read in one article that bacteria can continue to shed from the infected pup for 6 to 14 weeks. I found only the one resource for this time frame. Clinical signs of active infection last around 10 days, but if there is a possibility that the disease can continue to be a threat thereafter for such a long period of time, I will probably cancel my hold on this puppy altogether. I don't want to wait until he's half grown to safely acquire him. Thanks! to anyone who can clear this matter for me.

We are a young very active, outdoorsy family with a 3 year old little girl. We go camping and ski boating alot. We would like to take a dog with us. I go to school in the mornings this semester and work 3rd shift however, my husband would be home at night. So really the dog would only be home alone in the mornings and if I have any errands to run in the afternoon. I really just want a mellow dog that's along for the ride. I hate it when dogs jump all over me or my company. What do you think the best breed would be for us?

Mine would be victorian, with a wrap-around porch, turrets, gables, and that feature seen on New England houses..."widow's walk." A gazebo near the house.

Or it would be an English country style, or have some Georgian columns and stone-faced.

I like these because I like anything that looks historic, or really is historic.

I am a beginning 14 year-old right-handed golf golfer. I can hit the ball (w/ a 3 wood) about 160 yards in displacement and 120 yards in lateral distance at the range. I choose to use the three wood becuase I have not control over my Sasquatch driver that was rented to me at lessons. My ball at the beginning gets a nice height and then curves absurdly to the right. I think it gets too much distance to be classified as a slice especially in comparison to other shots and this is happens 70% of the time.

I took my boat to my sisters house with the intent to sell, because i don't have the driveway space to store it. When i found a buyer for the boat, I called and told her that i was coming to pick it up and she has hidden the boat from me. Really I don't know why every personal mirror I have get to be broken!! Even though I am good looking and like the way I look ( I look exactly like my avatar!!) but every mirror I got and every mirror I look to my self with it for too long must be broken after that but not the mirrors that is big and others use it just the small ones you know like two hands in size.. hi all!...i was just wondering why some people spend hundreds of dollars on a pure bred dog when there are hundreds of dogs young and old in puppy pounds all over the world?...i understand that they may be mutts but still mutts do live longer and for the usual $50.00 fee you would be getting a dog thats all ready fixed and up to code on their rabies shots And the money would go to help the other animals at the shelters?...please no rude remarks...im not trying to pick on any one im just curious...thanks...love daisy

We sometimes see movies with people valiantly hanging on during an explosive decompression in a spacecraft. Is that really possible? I want to know how fast the air is moving. It seems that it would be impossible to hang on, and that your lungs would immediately rupture. In any case, my real question is the initial airspeed. Is it 500 kph? 1000 kph? I know it will decrease very fast, depending on the size of the craft, and aperture size will count.

I have been married for five years now, and since year two I knew in my heart it was a mistake. My husband is perfect and any women would be happy to have him. I on the other hand just want him to leave (which he never would dream of) do I tell him I want to leave and how do I do it, neither one of us can afford anything we have on our own, and the house will never sell for what we owe.
Should I just deal with it even though it just hurts us both in the long run? Our biggest problems is 1.) he wants kids and I don't and he begs for them all the time. 2.) he is not in love with me he is obsessed, which is also why I am debating, I think it would kill him.
