The website about WMAP says that since light travels at finite speed then the far-away objects we see are actually much older. So, am I understanding this correctly? Do the scientists study the CMB radiationbecause it is the oldest thing left from the Big Bang? And how does measuring the temperature fluctuations help scientists learn more about how long ago it happened, etc. ?

First of all I know I should quit smoking, so please don't go there. The only room that smells is the room where my computer is. It reeks. I keep a smokers candle going and a fan but it doesn't help. Any suggestions?

Also, is sciontology REALLY a religion? I mean seriously, John Trovolta has reached level A of it and now if he wants to he can kill a man with his mind. If it was a REAL religion why would God give someone the power to do something that is against one of the 7 commandments? And they'd most likly get away with it until they got to hell.

My wife has days that she's fine and in a good mood. Then, she has days that she's depressed---wants to just lay around and sleep. She's very introverted and has done SI behavior since she was 12. She's now 29. I've tried talking to her about it, but she can't really explain how she feels...and she doesn't care to talk about it. She's a good wife and a good mother. Could she be bi-polar or is it something else? Any suggestions on how to help her?
