Saying they are stupid and too quiet, I am not a goth but around here the only difference is the way they dress and look. Whats wrong with wearing all black?

Those who say they are goth and act all depressed and stuff arent really goth. The true meaning of goths are those who mourn for there generation. Nothing more... Nothing less. I wear black most of the time but not all the jtime and I am still goth because I mourn for my generation and how it is slowing dying. People who steryotype goths need to get a grip. YOu seam smart on that aspect

I find it ridiculous how some people treat goths (or anyone for that matter). Everyone thinks that all goths are evil, morbid, depressed psychopaths who are mean and hate everyone.
This isn't true. Not all goths act depressed, for one thing, and I'm sick of everyone thinking that's the case. Also, most goths wear colors other than black, though they tend to wear black and dark colors. And also, goths only really hate people that mock them, stupid preppy chicks, and people who refuse to try to understand them.
If you actually tried to get to know one, you'd understand that they're just like everyone else. Really, goths are just people who tend to enjoy the darker side of life, mourn for their generation (like r0lynn said), and are simply missunderstood. I happen to be one of those said people.

Usually goths are hateful and they set the mood way low.
People like being happy. Goth=unhappy.
Usually it's not only the way they dress and look, it's what they say to you and how they give you wierd looks. They're just mean.

Well, to me I'd think it looks awfully hot in summer, but how you dress and what you listen to is your lookout. People can always change their clothes and re-dye their hair, you know? But if one of the goths being made fun of do that, I hope they remember how the others treated them when they didn't look "normal."

Nothing wrong with goths. I've had goth friends and they were all very kind and considerate people.

its not the way they dress, but its the whole way they act that can get annoying.
*special note-to the person that said they were goth and everyone else wanted to be them. no. incorrect. false. i dont want to be goth. i'd kick my own *** if i was goth.

As a former Goth I can tell you that people dress and act according to how they want people to perceive them. If you want people to think you are dark, morbid and a recluse, you dress like one. If you want people to think you are clean, sober and intelligent, you dress that way.... simple as that.

Nothing is wrong with wearing all black, or thoes striped leggings or dying your hair black.....the thing thats wrong with it is that they are trying to be diffrent....and yet all look the same...Its funny how that works hua?
