Everytime he hears the thunder he starts shaking, what can i do to help him stop it? I tried holding him in my arms and we're sitting in the basement so he can't hear it as much, but still shaking.

My daughter moved out at the age of 13 ( she is almost 15 now) and went to live with her dad because it was more "fun". Since she's been gone she has started smoking, cigarettes and weed, she cuts herself, hangs out with guys much too old for her, doesn't seem to have many friends and her school grades are abysmal. When she left here she was a straight A student, she now gets mainly D's and F's. She doesn't want to see me at all. This is because her father has made her believe that she doesn't need me in her life. It has been heartbreaking for me but I feel sad and scared for her. How can I help her?
