is it bad to think about other women?

my wife does not have much of a sex drive. i have a very strong one. ive talked with her about it but not much has changed. i find myself thinking of other women and trying to hook up. i havent done it but still exploring the option.

Thinking about other women is okay, acting upon those thoughts is not.
Remember your vows? You PROMISED to stay together through good times AND bad. Try to work this out with your wife, marriage counselors can be found in every town or city. If you've really tried and things still aren't working, get a divorce BEFORE you decide to "see" other women.
It's the right thing to do.

Definitely not good to be thinking about other women. Although it is normal to be tempted, entertaining these thoughts can eventually lead to cheating, and then cheating to divorce.

I'm sure you love your wife and it is good that you want to seek the right answer. Counseling is a good option. Getting to know each other better may get her in the mood more often. There may be times when she is just exhausted and you may have to respect her space. Just imagine if it were the other way around and it was your wife asking this question. I'm sure that you would be hoping for her understanding.

Sex drives peek at differ ant times for men and women. This happens for a man when he is in his younger years say before 35. Women on the other had just start their rise in sexual drive when they are past the age of 35. So in my opinion the younger man should marry an older woman and for the younger women they should marry the older man. Since men die before women most generally speaking the widow in the later of her life should seek a younger man. So if you married a woman about your same age she will probably have the same complain that you have now in a few years. So keep in mind she may possibly think about other men too. So be careful.

Think long and hard before you throw away your marriage. Lots of my friends have gotten divorced and I've seen what they go through. It sucks. Also, if you think its hard to get laid now, wait and see how hard it is when you are single.

Talk to her again. There are physical reasons for this sometimes, and possibly a doctor could help. Maybe she is entering menopause. Maybe she is bored with YOUR style, ever consider that? Try some different things, and if you love and trust each other you should be able to be open about it, even if at first you might think its odd or kinky.

Why don't you try to spice things up with your wife first.
The lack of sex drive isn't normal,could be hormones,could be the she doesn't want to go through the same usual routine.
There a plenty of thing could could help.You can spoil her...run her a bath (a candle lit,petals in the water kind)Give her a body mesage...may with a stimulating aroma oil.If this stuff doesn't get her to melt in your arms Try getting her attention with adult toys/movies. May be topical cream for stimulation could help.
Do your best not to restore to another woman...someone will only get hurt!

I think it is not such a good idea. A marriage has to have sex. Love with out sex is friendship. But you should not be in a marriage if you are looking to have sex with another. You should leave her first. But withholding sex is a reason to leave.
