My exhusband is constantly harrassing me while I'm online. He sends me nasty instant messages filled with name calling and threats. I've blocked him from everything I can think of but, he's threatening to post horrible things about me on the internet and somehow he keeps getting the info he needs to get into my emails that I have on several sites. I need to know how to stop him.

Does anyone else think it's sort of annoying to receive a Happy Hoildays card instead of a Merry Christmas card? (This is assuming you're Christian.) At my last job, we ordered "holiday" cards every year to send to our clients. I would imagine the vast majority of them are Christian, but you never know. I've received cards like this in the past, and to me, it just makes things seem sort of generic and not special. As a Christian, I celebrate Christ's birthday, and I don't really like receiving "Happy Holidays" cards. Honestly, I'd rather receive a Happy Hanukkah (sorry if I butchered the spelling of that!) card from a Jewish client than a Happy Holidays card. No, I'm not Jewish, but my client is and they're wishing me happiness on their special holiday. Is this making sense? I'm not trying to start an argument here...just asking out of curiosity.

Here in Alabama if a teacher teaches in a school district for a specific period of time the school system will offer them a tenured position. For those of you that do not know what that is, it is a guaranteed job, until you retire, in a nutshell. You don't have to teach anymore, you don't have to stay current with your subject, ( science, history) you just show up 9 months out of the year and complain that you "don't get paid enough to put up with this". So if you teach elementary school you tell the parents their child needs to be put on Riddlin, Adderall, etc.. If you teach high school you just tell the kids to read the chapter and answer the questions at the end. My 1st. grade teacher wanted me to go to special ed because I didn't pay attention in class .

I would like to know if tenure is common in the US or is it just here in the South. If it is common, I have an idea on how to help fix our public school system.

when I ask questions relating to the Bible and so many of you are so knowledgeable out there? Thank you for your thoughts and knowledge. I ask questions because I HAVE questions. That is the only reason. I don't like to judge people (not that I never ever do as I am not perfect - darn it)!! I have trouble reading the bible from beginning to end (went to bible study/grew up in church). I have questions and I don't think it is a bad thing to ask these kinds of things on here.
