how do i know that when i see something red, you see it the same as me?

...because i see everything i presume as red in the same way, but that doesnt mean you see red (or indeed any other colour) in the same manner as me because you see everything you presume to be red in the same way - confused? me too!

Can you get a patent for medical procedures?

If I have an idea for a "new" medical/surgical procedure, is it possible for me to "protect it" and gain some monetary benefit form working with some doctor to develop it as a viable treatment/procedure? How would I document that type of an idea so that it could be "registered" properly to give us the credit for developing it? How would I best enter into some sort of an agreement with some doctor(s) to develop such a procedure and can it be covered in the same way one patents a product?

My Toshiba Satellite 5005 laptop just shuts itself off sometimes while I am using it. Any ideas?

I dont know what the deal is, but I can be in the middle of browsing the internet, playing online poker, or just writing something in MS Word and every once and a while my whole laptop will just shut itself off. Sometimes it will power right back on when I hit the power button, other times it will start to reboot, but then just turn off again.

I would really like to figure out what the heck is going on but Toshiba customer service is terrible & since my computer isn't covered under warranty anymore, they won't even help me without trying to charge me for it.

Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a quick fix? Any of you computer people have any ideas what the problem could be???

I have one friend who says he thinks it's because my processor is too slow, but that doesn't make sense to me because sometimes it will work & run just fine for hours and other times (Even if Im doing the exact same thing) it will only go 15-20 minutes and then turn itself off. Any ideas anyone?
