I know its a commandment to honor your father and mother, and i dont have a problem with the mother part, but i do with the father part. 25 years ago, my father walked out on me, my mom, and my sister when i was five years old. He also did it again to his new family in Texas and left a wife and two young kids. He also recently got in a fist fight at a bar where he beat a man to death (he actually died). So how am i supposed to honor a person like that. In my own opinoin, there is a special place in hell waiting for him

Warren Buffet is giving away $27 Billion USD to an under-developed part of Africa. He made all that money with companies in the USA and he is moving it out of the country to help less advantaged people. Do you agree with this?

Granted, a lot of people feel that he could give to Hurricane ravaged areas but a great deal of news recently came out about people using their donated money on things like sex toys, fur coats and liquor. I wouldn't give any more to them either.

I just think money made in the USA should stay in the USA.

I noticed this morning that when I come to a stop (and hold the brakes) that the wipers stop. When I release the brakes they start back up. Is this normal? The car is going in for its 5000 mile today, so I will ask them, but thought I would toss it out here for you guys. Thanks (up front) for the quality answers.

ok....if you love someone so much that you would give your life for them and you would always wanna be with them, how do you really find the right words to say without soundin like a stalker or something....i mean i've told him i loved him plenty of times....but i dont think he knows "exacly" how i feel about him!...but i'm kinda scared to cuz i dont know if i'll scare him off...or if he'll tell me something i dont wanna hear...like "sorry but i dont have the same feelings for you"....that would just crush me to tiny little peices....he's told me that he loved me....but i didnt know if he was tellin the truth or not....but then again when i went to Fl for a few days...i stayed with my friend theresa and they said that he sat on the steps at their house for days waiting for me to show up!....and on my last day there he came over to T's house and right when he walked in his eyes cut over to mine and with out a sound he just threw his arms around me and we were standin there for hours just huggin each other....but it kinda sounded like he was cryin or at least about to!......i just need some advise on what in the hell i should do!!!!!

I have an infant whose bedroom is on the side of the house next to these neighbors. The neighbors child is 12 yrs old and screams while in the pool. He wakes up my infant napping during the day. These neighbors are not the kind of people who would easily cooperate, therefore how do I tell them to have them quite their child without starting a war?

I can make a good tasting meatloaf but it always seems to crumble. Am I adding too much egg, too big of bread crumbs, or just using to greasy of burger (80%), not mixing enough? I don't know......

I want to know what it takes to make a loaf that can be sliced thin as I am a big fan of left over meatloaf sandwiches.

I'm 14 years old and im about 5'5 - 5'6.i grew about 7 inches at the age of 13 till now..and my parents are about 5'3 and 5'0...also my grandpa and my uncles are about 6'1...i want to grow at least 2-3 inches taller...but i dont know how..i drink a lot of milk every day...and sleep a lot...is there any possible chance of me growing? even an inch?

im asking on behalf of a friend of mine whom 3mnths ago lost his mother,the last week of her life my friend was at her bedside during this week his x wife offered to look after their 3 children until his mum passed away and the funeral was over.bearing in mind he has brought these children up on his own for 6 years and mum hardly saw the children even though she only lived a few yards up the road from them.During these two weeks my friend went home and discovered that his 14 year old son had stolen a large amount of money from him, £300 which he had saved for a new fridge freezer and some flowers for his mothers funeral,it resulted in my friend smacking his son, which any parent i think in them circumstances would have done the same. It seemed to be the worst thing in the world as the x wife who hasnt had anything to do with the children for the past six years decided she now wants to care for her chilren so she reported my friend to the police.he was arrested and kept in a cell until

This section of my class has to do with Pragmatism. I'm okay at Philosophy, but I'm having a hard time understanding what the actual question is asking. Can someone just assist me in what the question is really asking in layman's terms? Here it is word for word:

If you were a pragmatist, how would you reconcile your belief that you can know your experience with your belief that an objective reality exists?

My thoughts: If I was a pragmatist, why would I reconcile my belief? And pragmatism is all about experience and objective reality, so why the challenge? I feel as if I'm missing the point in the question. Please help clarify. Thanks.
