Several times. I had a sandwich made with ham salad one time. The grocery had apparently not cleaned its machinery for a while. Two hours later I was, shall we say, quite indisposed. If it was oysters, you might be more prone to food poisoning. There are all kinds, too, such as salmonella, and many of them strike at different times, so don't let anyone tell you that if it didn't hit you within X hours, it wasn't food poisoning.

Yeah, I had it twice already this year. Just don't eat for a while anything except toast, cookies (without chocolate and stuff...). And boiled meat, vegetables. After few days start slowly eating normally. And everything is going to be OK. If the sickness continues go to a doctor.

Try a food cocktail. Vomit ting and diarrhea can flush out important electrolytes potassium, sodium. and glucose. You can replace them by sipping commercially prepared electrolyte products like Gatorade, Or try this re hydration recipe. Mix fruit juice (for potassium) with 1/2 teaspoon of honey or corn syrup (for glucose) and a pinch of table salt (sodium chloride).
