I am 50 years old and still have 27 years left on the mortgage. I want to retire at 62 or 65 without a mortgage. My mortgage balance is 270K my Roth account is 40K. I have been accelerating the principle payment on my mortgage and will have it paid off in 10 years. If I were to cash out my Roth IRA the mortgage will be done in 8 years.

Its a relatively new song a couple of months old I'd say. I heard it on day on my walk man and it reminded me of myself. I was crossing some train tracks and everything looked so far away. i don't know who sings it But the guy literally says Boondocks which i thought was funny cuz I haven't heard that since Goonies.

had a great few days w/ him (not the first time we slept together but the most intimate time together) had planned for weeks. by the second and last morning he freaked out - left the room quickly and became distant. later said he freaked out a bit because it was the first time emotions came into play. Now needs space to think and decide what he wants. by the way we are both married but unhappy and this sitiation just sort of happened with us - neither of us is ready to leave our lives just yet but have had a great time with each other so far.
what does the freak out and space mean? does he have feelings and now is scared? what could this mean? I'm miserable thinking about it and have to see him each day as we work together. we haven't talked yet about what will happen next if anything with us but for some reason his sudden freak out is killing me. Why the freak out on his part?

She agreed but wondered why, because we were through. I told her that I missed her so much. We met and she seemed happy to see me. I gave her a promise ring and she smiled. But again she said she could not accept it because we were through. I told her to keep it because it represented my love for her. Now she wants to give it back. Why?

Anyone got stories to share of dealing with people whose very presence seems to bring bad energy with them and drains you of your positivity? How, for instance, do you deal with one of these people if their relatives are very good friends of yours and won't hear a word against them?

My husband is a sober alcoholic now. I married and lived with the active alcoholic in him for 13 years. I'm still married to him now 15 years. Do you think a book about my life dealing with his problem would sell books or do you think there are enough books out there about the disease and nobody would care about how the wife of an alcoholic dealt with it.

My sister is 17 and has dropped out of school. She got pregnant when she was 15; had the child when she was 16. She has kept saying she is going to go back to school, but still has not. I'm very worried about her future. I feel if she can go to school online than she can stay home with the baby. That way she will not have to worry about having to put him in day care, work, and go to public school at the same time. The father lives with them, but he doesn't even work. If you know of any online schools she can attend let me know.
