Because we're just monkeys with big brains. We were created to be hunter-gatherers, to spend our lives picking berries and chasing after wild pigs with pointy sticks.
We were not designed to live in a complex technological society, and as you can see, we're not at all good at it.

Is the real question "Why do so many people disagree with my beliefs on politics, warfare, religion and life?"
To call someone ignorant because they don't share your beliefs is what ?

Because they choose to be. You have a choice whether or not to be ignorant. Most time people don't know when they are ignorant. Most confuse stupidity with ignorance. Ignorance is not knowing. Stupidity is knowing but making wrong choices.
In order to NOT remain ignorant one must seek knowledge of a situation to gain a better understanding in order to make a choice.
This applies to all aspects of life.

Ignorance has to do with opportunities... The more opportunities people have in watching t.v. watching news and politics; getting an education; meeting with diverse groups.. etc..the less ignorant they are... but ignorance may come in two states: a closed mind due to circumstances beyond one's control or opinionated erroneous state of being..

Why ask why? Do you what you can to spread a better message, educate others, inspire people to NOT be ignorant. It's easy to ask the question, it's a lot harder to get off your computer and get out there and make a difference.

It's because they are interested only in themselves and can't be bothered with other people's lives. As long as their life is o.k. they don't care about anyone else.

Because we rely on TV for answers to everything. Nobody thinks anymore, it's easier to have others think and decide for us. WE ARE ALL 2 LAZY!!

in my experience, only ignorant people are ignorant....and they're like that not because they don't know any better, but because they don't WANT to know any better.
