does it have something to do with how many inches of cord you leave attached when you cut the cord? the cord is made out of a different material than skin so really how does that work?

All punishment has an element of revenge in it.
In order for ANY punishment to have value, it must be at least as bad as the crime, or else crime pays. (steal $5million and pay $5 thou fine, why not steal? pay $5 million for stealing $5 thou, better not steal!)
40 yrs ago, a youth that stole a car for a quick joyride might see 20 yrs in prison. car theft was relatively rare.
today it is a few months at best. That crime is rampant!
give a killer LIFE? no way! give them death!
Remember if the death penalty is on the books, the CRIMINAL chooses to be punished by commiting the crime that brings that punishment upon him
The Bible says that the law is not written for the just, but for the unjust and lawless.
The bible (new testament) is pro Death penalty (not eye 4 eye tooth 4 tooth) but it states that the king does not hold the power of the sword for no reason

I have a friend who will be turning 32 soon, he gave me some terribly embarassing gifts for my birthday AT WORK IN FRONT OF EVERYONE. I want some inexpensive (like under 35-40 dollars) gag gift ideas, and where can I buy them? I was thinking something like "Obese naked women novelty playing cards" but I can't find any online. My son is 3 months old. He drinks about 25-26 oz (breast milk and formula) every day. So far, he has been gaining weight as expected (birth wieight: 7lb 6 oz, now: 15 lb 2 oz). But the real concern we have is over the last 1 week or so, he refuses to drink milk when he is awake. He will have about 1 to 1 1/2 ounces and then rest he will drink only when is fallen asleep. We know he is hungry because he really grabs on to the bottle and sucks vigourously in his sleep.

According to our pediatrician, he does some reflux but she opines that it is very light and he will outgrow it soon.

Is there anything that we need to worry about here? Does anyone had similar experience withh their kids? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

I have some minor acne scarring on my cheeks. I have had laser surgery, dermabrasion, fillers, peels, TCA Cross, everything available performed on them with zippo results. I have been trying to get rid of them for twenty years.

I have been to the best of the best doctor wise also. And I know of no one who had any luck at all, even minor, in reducing the appearnace of their acne scarring even an iota.

Has anyone WHO HAS HAD, or HAS acne scarring have any suggestions. Thanks, James

Some Christians think atheists are bitter(which is not true). Just like some alcoholics think sober people are bitter. Could it be because some Christians have to depend on god to be happy? Isn't that how drug and alcohol addicts are? Alcoholics think they have to depend on alcohol to function. Lots of Christians are the same way about god.
