Who shoplifts and how do you do it?

I don't do it. I just want to know how someone goes about it. How does someone just walk out of a store with something and noone notices

Its not hard, but you feel really guilty afterwards !
i haven't in like two years.. its Fun, but then you just feel bad!

Shoplifters-shoplift

There are several methods

There is a video called "Sadie’s School of Stealing" if you want to learn more.

But some basics are:

Do it either when the store is understaffed or busy

Go in there allot & buy little things so that the staff would recognize you as a regular customer & not be suspicious of you being there.

Wear a coat with inner pockets or baggy pants, some put rubber bands at the bottom of there pants & stuff their pants with product. the best is the book bag or large purse (you can always dump it & run if you feel you are going to be caught.....you can also stash it & come back later or send someone else for it.

You "case the store” see who is there, at what times, security present, look at location of cameras, etc (if you have a friend that works there you can ask them for this information).

You find the best spot to take the merchandise usually a quite area of the store & plan your route out of the store to minimize the amount of employees you might come into contact with.

Check merchandise for security tags & deactivate them by ripping off or slicing with razor blade. You can also go in the store, deactivate the tags & come back later to get the stuff.

When no one is around your spot. grab the merchandise & go to your spot. You can also make a "set up cart” filled with bulky merchandise such as large bags of chips, diapers, etc put what you are going to steal in the center of the cart & pretend you are shopping in the store till you get to your spot. When you hit your spot act fast stash the merchandise in your jacket or bag it should be seamless & natural no looking back & forth every move you make, stupid stuff like that. You can abandon the cart & walk out or go to the front with the cart to the register & tell the clerk that you forgot your wallet. When walking out have the keys in your hand, talk on the cell phone or look at your watch as you are leaving... it will show that you have something else on your mind other then leaving.

other methods are taking the product to the restroom, lifting up the trash bag & putting the merchandise underneath... then you can come back later & get it or better yet have someone else get it. Doing this draws off suspicion

Once you become better & your movements & actions defined you will be able to steal right in front of people without them noticing. It’s kind of like magic. The key is natural movements & not “looking like a shoplifter”.

i shop lift when im really low on money...ok, well you cant really steal a big screen TV, but you can steal a snickers bar, a soda, or maybe even a box of cookies...What ever it is, its gotta be small enought to fit in a pocket/coat/under a baseball hat.

ok, first, u walk around the area ur gunna steal from...(ex. if your gunna steal a snickers, walk around the candy section)

dont look suspicious.....make sure not many people are around. now waht you wanna do it look at the package for any kind of barcode....these are the things that are black and white stripes with some numbers at the bottom....if the thing your stealing has one, rip it off, and stash it somewere....walk out, and there u go, a nice creamy snickers.....

for clothes, walk in a store with a large jacket. (works better on cold days so workers dont get suspicious)

okay, walk in with a coat very large, so you cannot see an undershirt....if the store isnt crowded, dont try.....ok, find what you want, like a nice top, but u gotta get two!!!, and take it in a fitting room......make sure u can only see one of the tops....you will see why in a moment....most places, the fitting rooms are unlocked, so u dont need a worker to let u in....if this is the case, sneak into one, rip of the barcode from the top, slip it on, and put your coat back on, leaving the other top in the dressing room, making it look like u never took it!!! =P

I don't think there is a way to identify people who shoplift. Realistically everbody may be one.

The rich person for the thrill, the poor person because they feel jibbed and the regular person because they feel they dont need to pay for it (the big guy earns enough money anyway).

The easiest way is hiding small merchandise in your clothes, and pay for something else.

Another scam is to double shop, you get an article, pay for it, take it to your car and get another one, even complain about the security device not being removed! Cold blood helps a lot!

Raiding loading bays or early deliveries are easy and relativly low risk too.

In the end most people get cought and that is whn you re-evaluate your actions.

It is against the law to shoplift, and you would be arrested. Usually people in need shoplift, when they have no choice. Teenagers shoplift because they think it is fun and end up in jail.

Anybody can be a shoplifter. It costs all of us. The store has to raise prices to cover the losses, and if they hire security, those costs are passed along to the consumer also.

As a follower of wiccan beliefs, I know that all my actions will be returned to me times 3, I really don't want my s--t ripped off, so i dont take things that belong to others,and hope I don't see you taking someones elses things.

Ask the people who did it and ended up in jail. Why don't you buy stuff like everyone else? When you steal, you make it harder on us hard working people who buy things legally.
