One of my computers has a CD drive that will not work the way it should... I beleive it is a new 52x cd drive and it doesn't have any writing capabilities... I recently installed XP on my computer and when I did that... the drive wa working fine... But now for some reason... It won't read... The computer recognizes it's there but is not receiving any information that there is a disk in the drive... Please DO NOT RESPOND WITH ANYTHING THAT SAYS OR REALTES TO 'check the cables or connections or is everything hooked up right or the right drivers' or some crap like that... Yes i've checked the wires and the cables and the connections... I just would like to hear some reasons that might be the cause of this...

I can relate to why people get upset about languages in another county. My parents immigrated and learned the lanugage and the ways of this country. I live in a community that now caters to other cultures, at the expense of our own. Street signs are printed in other languages to make it easier for new people coming to this country, Our elementary schools now stop having Christmas plays because it is not politically correct. I don;t want to feel like I am racist, but I am beginning to think I am heading that way. It is not the way I want to bring up my children. Sometimes multiculturism sucks.

My computer used to recognize this disk but as time persisted, it started to not recognize it at times. Now it doesn't even recognize it at all. Since the disk is old anyways, is there anyway i can transfer my information and such onto a different hard disk? I think there's something wrong with the motherboard because it says the device is working properly but it doesn't show up. HELP please.

Bet alot of people expected something bad lol. Anyways. A scientist (when trying to come up with why there are gay people) theorized that back in the caveman days straights would reproduce and the gay people would be the caretakers of children. Like since they can't reproduce they would stay in the cave and care for the children when the other men hunted and the other woman fixed meals cleaned up etc.. Just wondering what your thoughts are on this theory. I thought it pretty intersting myself.
