I am 28 years old and have been seeing my current therapist for about a year now for depression, social anxiety, general anxiety, and very pronounced low self-esteem isssues. He is the 6th therapist I have seen in my life--I have literally suffered from depression/anxiety since I was 5 years old, and over my lifetime I have been on a total of 12 antidepressants/antianxiety meds, including Paxil, Buspar, Wellbutrin, Serzone, and so on. This list includes benzos like Klonopin, too. NONE of them have helped for longer than a week at most, some had no effect at all. In addition to therapists, I've seen scores of medical Dr's to try med combonations, and to rule out other physical problems, but no luck.

With the therapists (including my current one) I have tried a variety of treatments, (EMDR, CBT, psychotherapy, etc). During our last session, my psychologist said that my condition seems to be "non-biological" and unable to be treated medically.

What does this mean??

Okay, I have heard that a parent should get the child if their is abuse, should the word abuse be redefined. because to some it means mental, physical and emotional. No matter how you might think of it, we all have been through mental, physical, and emotional abuse as a child, and we are still alive to speak about it. Mentally competent is hard to prove in the court of law as a defense, so why do we allow the courts to use it when we are dealing with child custody. I mean, some women use this as a defense to get the children, and to have control over the father. Sorry ladies, but that is the truth. The weak are being overcome by the strong in some relationships, so the weak fall victims to the courts mercy in a revengeful way that we all know the courts are having more sympathy for the weak. The point is, should we all be subject to mental evaluations and drug test when dealing with the affairs of child custody and child support these are both parents children not just one.

I'm 29 years old and I was at a singles party last night, and there were a lot of single women there. Whenever I go to these things, I try to spend around 10-15 minutes talking to different women, get their phone number or get rejected, and move onto the next. If I am in the middle of talking to them and they finish their drink, am I supposed to buy them one? The problem is, women use guys so much for buying drinks, and I hate that. I feel like if they are really interested, then they'll go on a date with me, and then I'll take them out. But for all I know, they can be totally uninterested and even give me a fake number at the end of the conversation. This really wouldn't be an issue if drinks weren't so overpriced where I live, but last night the average drink was $12!! But If I dont buy them a drink and they pay for their own, does that make the ones that would have been interested in me no longer interested? What do you guys think?

Seems like I always ask myself this question when eathing out "Does this chef/cook really think this is the best this could taste?" I would be embarresed at most places. I would never send out anything I did not think tasted better than anything anyone else had ever made. Why is this the case?

The vet says my 5 year old cat is urinating outside her litter box because of stress. We got her a new litter box (so now we have two) because the vet said she dosen't like to share with the kitten. How can I figure out what else my be stressing her and take care of that problem? How can I figure out if there is a new cat or something in the neighborhood bothering her?

My son has a teacher that keep losing turn-in assignments, changing due dates on tests and work to be turn-in. The teacher will not return phones calls or e-mails. Also, on graded work he receive back 3 to 4 weeks later. I have talked to teacher and she said it will be taking care of, but no solution yet.
