both if i think the long way around will be a better route and if it seems like that the long way is going to be worth more at the end than a short cut then i'll take the long way. but if the long way around is not necessary then i'll take a short cut.

I go the long way around when I'm in the mood for driving (which is most days of the week). other then that I'll take a short cut.
I drove 1000 km once for a hamburger. I was living in Adelaide at the time, so I drove to broken hill for lunch and then drove home again - 1000 km. when I'm in the mood for driving I drive and I'm to lazy to take short cuts

Sometimes i take both when I feel goin through the short cut...i go that way...other days i feel like going the long way around...it depends on my mood.

If the short cut doesn't effect the journey... and time is more important... the short cut is the way I go.

However if it come to say... getting there an hour sooner by taking say, the highway... as opposed to taking an hour longer, and seeing the cherry blossoms... well then... I'm going to be a little late!

I've been taking short cuts more and more. With all of the construction projects and terrible traffic lights in my town, I do my best to avoid the main roads.

I normally just go for the most effective way, if it means the long way then so be it. But to be honest, I do prefer the quick ways
