I'm 29 years old and I was at a singles party last night, and there were a lot of single women there. Whenever I go to these things, I try to spend around 10-15 minutes talking to different women, get their phone number or get rejected, and move onto the next. If I am in the middle of talking to them and they finish their drink, am I supposed to buy them one? The problem is, women use guys so much for buying drinks, and I hate that. I feel like if they are really interested, then they'll go on a date with me, and then I'll take them out. But for all I know, they can be totally uninterested and even give me a fake number at the end of the conversation. This really wouldn't be an issue if drinks weren't so overpriced where I live, but last night the average drink was $12!! But If I dont buy them a drink and they pay for their own, does that make the ones that would have been interested in me no longer interested? What do you guys think?

women aquire many material things from men (including drinks) by exploiting the 'promise' of sex - and when they deliver, it's always on their terms. And you're correct in assuming that if you don't buy her a drink, she'll likely think you're a cheapo. Never mind, of course, that she's looking for freebies all night. Ahhh the hypocrisy.

I figure it this way: Sense the way the girl is drinking. If upon meeting you, she's suddenly chugging her drink just to finish it so you can buy her another one, then don't offer. If however, she's genuinely interesting to you (and not just interested in you --they can fake that) then take a chance.

given that most girls, apart from their looks are generally uninteresting to talk to, you should cut back the number of drinks you buy by 70-80%

I guess only if ur into her u can buy her a drink or if she wants another drink. But not for every one u talk with because u gonna end up broke b 4 the night is over then she'll have to buy u a drink and that may make her think bad thoughs like ( this guy is here trying to pickup women and he has NO money to buy me or himself a drink.) " LOOOOOOOOOOOSER"

So only if u and she are into each other that u buy her a drink

Dont buy the drink. If a girl is really interested then she will still be interested. If it were a date of course you should buy her a drink, but at a singles party you are just wasting your money.

no offence but a guy who'd buy my drinks does get extra brownie points. and u're rite... sometimes, some who buy me drinks dont get anything at the end of the day. *shrugs* sorry pal. BUT, i wont completely write off a guy who wouldnt take out his wallet. he might score brownie points somewhere else.

yeah i've been used and i hate to buy em drinks. you gotta take it on an individual basis and judge them twice as much as they're judging you. if you honestly feel compatible and like her buy her a drink, but don't go buyin for just anybody cause her drinks done.
