Try the following
Online scanners
http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html
http://www.trendmicro.com/spyware-scan/
http://www.f-secure.com/solutions/home.shtml
File assessment (useful for email attachments or for suspicious files)
http://www.virustotal.com/en/indexf.html
HijackThis (a good program for seeing what is running on your computer)
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/htlogtutorial.html#r
Only other thing you can do is delete the virus manually, Start in safe mode, find the virus file, rename it. then once you restart you will be able to delete it.

get your computer on safe mode . . . I restarted my computer and then pressed F8 . . . once in safe mode, run a MCAFEE virus scan . . . it should locate the downloader trojan and get rid of it . . . then re-start your PC once again and it will be gone . . . try mcafee.com and their message boards for further info . . .

Download the yahoo toolbar... that works pretty well with most spyware. Or try ad-aware from lavasoft.
