Is it necessary to avoid onion, garlic for a person who does Meditation?

My roommate is avoiding onions and garlic because he says it actually affects him for his Meditation. Does it really affect people who meditate? Is it necessary for a person to avoid onion, garlic to meditate? Or they just avoid them to control their desires?
Btw eating onion and garlic will have any negative effect on health?

Do you believe that some people are that stupid?

I asked a question about displaying the Confederate Flag outside my home and people thought I was serious. First I will fly any dam flag if I chose to, and I don't plan on taking any sensivity courses about it. I chose not to since the war is over and I am a Northerner, It's about slavery still is in the northern minds and most blacks, shame on you , don't you know Lincoln free the slaves in the South? Yes, but only in the South, The slaves in the north stayed Slaves till 2 or 3 years after the war. I don't mean to bust on anybody, but learn some history fer Pete's sake. Oh! thanks for all the answers, it was fun reading them.

Has Mother Nature gotten angry with the USA's treatment of her?

I say this because of Katrina, and because of this article on Yahoo! News: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060618/ap_on_fe_st/deer_attack . The woman did nothing to the deer necessarily.

Does anyone else have any accounts of this occuring elsewhere?
Do you agree? If not, why don't you agree?

Please, no preaching on this. Please please please. No: "This was in Revelations" or "The Bible Code spoke of this happening" or "Animals are soulless therefore evil" stuff, PLEASE!!!

And this has to do with Religion and Spirituality because I'm Pagan, and Mother Nature is a huge part of our religious beliefs.

I need to know the whole psalms verse..but i cant look it up. please help!?

When I was baptised several years ago, I was giving a Psalm. I remember part of it, but I dont know the rest. I can't look it up on my computer because of the parental controls block religion sites. (children use this computer too). But anyway what I do remember is:

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid ... my heart shall not fear ...

That is all I can remember. If anyone knows the whole verse, that would be great. Thanks Alot!!!

I had an affair with my boss?

It didn't last very long. He started out by calling me at my post a few times a day to 'chat'. We started getting more and more dirty on the phone, and within a couple weeks we were kissing, I was masturbating for him to listen to on my phone, and we were discussing our sexual fantacies for each other.

One day, his wife found an online journal that he hid that said all of the stuff we did with each other. I got real scared, told him that day that I was gonna try to fix it up with my boyfriend and have worried ever since that his wife will hunt me down and hurt me in some way. I didn't have any feelings or anything for him during our time together, but when he said his wife found his stuff online, I figured he was gonna leave her and I knew I didn't like him enough for that to happen, cuz I didn't want to leave my home life for him. The whole thing was pretty stupid, but I still have this gut feeling about his wife.
