Gout is caused by increased amount of uric acid which deposits in joints, esp the great toes. Drink plenty of water. Rest it when it flares up, use tylenol for pain. Get excercise when it is not bothering you. Avoid high protein foods, esp during flare ups. See your doctor and follow the regimen provided. Best of health!

Cherries and Cherry Juice is a great remedy for gout. They help eliminate the uric acid which crystallizes and forms in the joints.
The darker the cherries, the better.
