I just read this female's answer to a ? where she stated it was the wife's duty in the Bible to submit to the man... I just can't get over a female saying that....

When r ppl going to realize that there r things in the Bible that were written BY MEN in a time of no rights for women... the women were just as much property as slaves.. couldn't get educated, vote, own property, etc...

If ppl r going to follow every single word of the Bible without logic then what about in Genesis where it talks about the Supernatural beings laying with the normal humans. And where it discusses selling your daughters into slavery being acceptable. Or where it talks about redistributing wealth every 7 years.... I could go on and on.

Don't u have to say to those things, "Well those were the times..."

Why do ppl through all logic out the window when it comes to religion but at the same time, THEY ONLY PICK PORTIONS of their doctrine to follow to the letter?

BTW, I am a Christian.

If a couple is using abstinance as 'birth control' but at one point they loose control and the girl gets pregnant, does this mean that abstinance failed as birth control in their case.

After all, other forms of BC have two ratings for effectiveness--one for perfect use and one for typical use. 'Course abstinance is 100% with perfect use, but should it be counted as less than 100% for the times it is not used perfectly (ie the couple just can't contain themselves any longer?)

My boy says that he's fine and has come to terms with my mans death,but his grades went from straight a's to c's abd 1 or 2 b's and he's been exihibiting some violent tendencies.Like getting into fights with his best friend and just getting very angry,very easily.That's not like him at all.He tries to be tough for mom even though i tell him that he doesn't need to be,that in fact it would be more helpful to me if he'd sit and talk to me about it and even cry with me.But he's dead set on "men don't cry"and that now that the man of the family is gone,he needs to take his place.His counslor & I've both told him thast's not so,but he just won't give in to the saddness and loss that I know he's got to be feeling.Does anyone out there have any ideas how I should handle this??

I am still a high school student. I am interested in a job in Psychiatry - Psychology - Sociology. I firmly Believe that to know Psychiatry you have to know Psychology.

My ultimate question is this. Can one major in Psychology (going for Ph.D) minor in Sociology and still get into Med school, Aiming for an M.D in Psychiatry? I know this path calls for alot of schooling, but I am willing to do it. Also, are there any special classes that I would have to take to even qualify for med school?

well how do i start? this girl and i have known eachother for years umm we were good friends in grade school. in junoir high we became even better friends. no wits our last year at our junoir high and we are sleeping away becaese she wanted to do crew.(i thought it was great. but i didnt even think that she would not have time to chill with me anymore.) but now is kinda the summer and i want to chill with her, i love her (nohomo) but in a sisterly way. she was always here when i needed her,whenever i needed her. we told eachother our secerts. when i say best friends i mean where i was you would see her and viversa. i dont know what to do. she has lots of friend s but i dont. yeah i have friends but no friends i can call up and cry my eyes out with. i need HELP! and when i call her cell phone she never picks up or she wll pick up and say that she cant talk but that shell call me back later and never does. There is a cute girl at work who I think likes me. The thing is we are very opposite. She is very outgoing, talks to everyone, has a lot of friends, goes to parties and clubs, and does all things that a dork/loser like me would not normally do. I don't have a lot of friends, I mostly work and then stay at home after work and on off days, I don't go clubbing, going out for me basically means going to the movies or accompanying my mom to the groceries (Yes, I live with my parents but it is because we're immigrants who bought a house and trying to survive here in America altogether supporting each other) and I am not outgoing. When I first met her, I thought that we could really hit it off since I thought she was like me. But when I found out that she is very outgoing (through her blogs), it made me step back a little. So, do I have to change in order to be with her?? It sucks to be me sometimes. Any advice?
