If they have special meaning to you, you are legally old enough and you know how to look after them and have a good artist, then yes, totally go for it!
I think tattoo's are brilliant, they can form lasting memories of things, they look beautiful and even a simple design can have a complex private meaning to someone.

I think tattoo is not a question of bad or good idea. Its feeling that should come from inside. You must want it enough to get it. Life is short, no one wants to be 50 yrs ols and look at someone 20 yr old with a lovely tattoo and wonder "Why the hell didnt I ever et that done" ( I have both my ears pierced and got my frist tatoo a year back 25/male/india)

What is the tattoo going to be? Where will you get it? What is it going to look like as it spreads across your sagging/stretching body?
You probably don't want a giant ladybug crawling into your butt crack when you are 60. But, you may be okay with a droopy daisy on your boob.

I like them and have one that covers my chest and back but be sure to get it for the right reason and make it your own. Don't just go pick something off the wall. An artist will work with you and help you design one, just be patient

tattoos are very cool and if done right can be a very good thing. If done wrong or sloppy can be very costly to get rid of. If you are wanting to get one make sure it is something you will want when you get older or even in a few years.

My wife and I love them. I just got one and my wife has had one for a little while.
Here in CA they are fairly well accepted for both men and women so there is very little social backlash for having one. Most people I meet think they are cool.

Tatoos are cool if you are going to get one you need to remember it will be there forever. So do get something you will regret in 5 years!!

I luv them!!! Its a very good idea, but they do get addicting. Ive only got 3 but i want a lot more.
