Ah! here's the deal...
I am good friends with this guy that I've known since three yrs. old.
When we were seven he moved on the otherside of america. We have been writing letters ever since (but now we email) and we do it so often that I kno him pretty well by now, even thou we're thousands of miles away :(. Sometimes we exchange pics and stuff. But he's also a writer and sends me his stories, which I read, even thou they're so freakin long. Recently he wrote a story about the failed attempts he's had in keeping a girlfriend. When I was reading I couldn't help but feeling really jealous. He's wonderful, but clearly I'm out of my brains, and he will end up settling and falling in love with a girl in his own state.I have trouble facing this, we have so much in common and are always there for eachother, and have been for the past 14 years. It freaks me out that I'm this attached, I can't stand to face the truth. And I'm afraid once he finds a very serious relationship, we might lose touch

I'm 20, and ever since I can remember, I've always been told I'm cute. That's it - just cute. Never beautiful or pretty or hot, but cute. I hear the word so much that it just offends me. I have a nice body (slender but curvy), pretty attractive face, natural makeup, vibrant personality, and dress nicely. I had short hair for a long time, but it's been growing to shoulder length and I wear glasses.

All my guy friends will tell me, "You're cute," but when they see another girl (a girl who wears lots and lots of makeup and wears revealing stuff) they'll say she's hot or gorgeous or beautiful.

A guy friend of mine even told me, "I like girls who wear makeup. That's so pretty to me. Why look plain when you can get dolled up and beautiful?"

I know other girls who have people randomly telling them, "You're beautiful!" and I wish I was one of those girls.

I don't wanna fake myself, but I would like to know how I can look less cute and more beautiful.

Help?

This is very serious, so please, no sarcastic comments.
Unfortunately, when I was about 7-11 y.o. I had sexual relations with my brother and cousin because I did not know I was doing bad at that age. Now that I grew up I realise what I have done and I want to confess (I am Catholic). The problem is, how can I say it using proper language (and not use the words the priest might not want to hear?)
Whats the best way to confess about this sin?
Also, how can i find the strength to confess about it? Because it is a horrible sin...

THE DEAD DUCK:

A woman brought a very limp duck into a veterinary surgery.

As she lay her pet on the table, the vet pulled out his stethoscope and listened to the bird's chest. After a moment or two, the vet shook his head sadly and said, "I'm so sorry, Cuddles has passed away."

The distressed owner wailed, "Are you sure?

"Yes, I am sure. The duck is dead", he replied.

"How can you be so sure", she protested. "I mean, you haven't done any testing on him or anything. He might just be in a coma or something."

The vet rolled his eyes, turned around and left the room, and returned a few moments later with a black Labrador Retriever. As the duck's owner looked on in amazement, the dog stood on his hind legs, put his front paws on the examination table and sniffed the duck from top to bottom. He then looked at the vet with sad eyes and shook his head. The vet patted the dog and took it out, and returned a few moments later with a beautiful cat. The cat jumped up on the table and also sniffed delicately at the bird. The cat sat back on its haunches, shook its head, meowed softly and strolled out of the room.

The vet looked at the woman and said, "I'm sorry, but as I said, this is most definitely, 100% certifiably, a dead duck." Then the vet turned to his computer terminal, hit a few keys and produced a bill which he handed to the woman.

The duck's owner, still in shock, took the bill. "£150!", she cried, "£150 just to tell me my duck is dead?!!"

The vet shrugged. "I'm sorry. If you'd taken my word for it, the bill would have been 20, but what with the Lab Report and the Cat Scan........................................?

How do you just hate it when you work like crazy and someone else who contributed nothing shares the credit with you? Is there anything I can do to either prevent it or savage it?

Hi, I was raised strict Catholic, but am not religious at all now (I'm 20). I am interested in learning more about religions other than Christianity. I know the basics of most religions, but does anyone have any input on their religion and why they believe in it/some of their favorite traditions? Did you convert or were you raised it? I'm especially interested in Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, and the Baha'i faith, but others too! thanks :)
