I have always wished to go there but everything I try to do in getting there backfires. I first wanted to live there but realized that it was going to cost me $2,000 just to move there and then be broke. Visiting there was going to cost me well over $1000..so any advice on what I should do in getting the good deals on either moving or visiting california by next year?

okay, bear with me here. i was supposed to move to san diego to go to college (im 21) in january. but ive always wanted to go to the university of hawaii. im more familiar with SD but, if anyone has any particular insights to both places, heres my question....

would it be better to spend my fall and spring semesters in california and come back out east in the summer, and sacrafice the san diego summers, or....stay out here and in the summers do the UH summer sessions (good value, very cheap) and maybe move to honolulu full-time to go to UH if my friend accepts a job there in a year after he graduates. its kind of a bland question but i was wondering if anyone had a feel for comparing and contrasting the two cities, especially for a 21 year old student.

i know how san diego is a lot, but as far as honolulu, im not quite as familiar, any advice would be appreciated.

btw..i know theyre both very expensive, so yeah haha

but how much does it cost to ship a car to/from hawaii?

My husband and I may end up moving there, so we were thinking about visiting the area for 5 days in December. What should we check out? We're interested in nightlife, but also other attractions, good places to live downtown, etc. And what hotel should we stay in? (In a good location.)

I thought I read about a trip to the Coronado Islands of Mexico to see Gray Whales. I believe it was an eight hour trip.

Suggestions on Ocean View Reception??

Hello ! If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. I am getting married in the Spring of 2006. I have a place for my ceremony already. I need help in finding a reception place that can accomodate about 125 people. My only real requirement is that it has an ocean view. I want a nice reception, but not a stuffy, too-formal type place. Bali Hai is the only place I have been to that I think would be pretty nice. Can anyone else recommend a reception place with an awesome view? Sorry, I forgot to mention that I am on a budget. I am definitly looking for a place that is not more than $50/person. I guess that would cut out alot of places, huh? =| Oh, also, does anyone know how much a reception on the Hornblower Cruise is per person? Thank you thank you thank yoU!
