Ok, I arrived in LA a few months back. I really am a postive person, but am not a big fan of LA. I find many, not all, people to be really flaky, fake, and with ulterior motives, or an agenda. Maybe its just me, but I really don't care for people who use people and try to extract anything useful, then go on to the next. I had such high hopes for CA, but am kind of disapointed thus far. I can see how this town could turn a person into a lost soul. Thanks

Im going to be moving to the Sacramento area this Fall for graduate school... Im wondering where are the best places for students in this area? Im looking for a place that is safe and has a certain amount of culture, meaning exposure to the arts, coffee shops (open late) and bookstores. Thanks!

We are traveling to Sacramento,Ca end of the month. We have 3 small children,6 days, just looking for a good-cheap hotel that serves a free cont breakfast. I am relocating, and need to have info about the better areas of the city. I heard Cameron Park in nice as well as El Dorado Hills. I was born in Carmichael. Can anyone give me specifics on these areas? I see that there are alot of apartments in my price range in and around FLorin Mall. Also some around Fulton Avenue. My boyfriend and I are planning on moving to Sacramento, California in a few months. He is applying to police departments and I plan on working on my graduate degree in Psych. He's been to California but I haven't.

I'm just wondering if people think living there is worth the cost?
I'd hate to move out there and decide it is too expensive, like a lot of people do, and move back to new york and start grad. school all over.
