A boring person will be bored in the middle of the most exciting place in the world.

A curious person will have a wonderful and stimulating time in the middle of a desert.

Excitement isn't in the place, it's in the person.

If you enjoy cultural activities, then yes. There is little of the arts. If you're more sports minded and enjoy biking, rafting, etc. or if you enjoy watching the political scene, then there is a lot more for you to do there.

I haven't been there but it depends on how you view "boring." Since it is the capital of California I don't think it should be too boring.

yeah, it is boring. Compared to other Californian cities like San Diego, L.A. or San Francisco

No way, there is a lot to do there. But you have to be careful about certain neighborhoods.
