I already live in Florida but I can't find a map that shows me where that is related to Daytona Beach. I don't know if it's north, south, east, or west of Daytona and I don't know what landmarks it's by such as universities or attractions so if you could just tell me or give me a link that would be much appreciated.

I'm pondering relocation to one of these states and I'm hoping you can help me.

I'm married with young kids (wife and I are in our 20s). We're looking for a kid-friendly town that is full of good parks and good jobs. We are outdoorsy evangelicals and Republicans so we're looking for a state with plenty of like-minded people.

Weather isn't a big deal as long as it's sunny.

We've checked 'em all out and Colorado looks like the best bet--so far--because Denver seems most kid-friendly (great suburbs), most Republican, and best for evangelicals. The mountains are great, too.

What would you do?

Anyone know of a good hotel that is reasonably priced in Gettysburg, PA? I am going to play golf at The Links at Gettysburg and want to spend the night someplace closeby. There are a lot of hotels listed when I do searches, but I am confused of their locations and quality.

I am trying to plan a summer vacation for my husband and I... We like to shop, gamble, lay in the sun, and other low key things- we really aren't much for the historic or sightseeing things and we never eat at fancy restaurants so that doesn't matter.... places we've loved have been
Southern Florida both east and west coasts
Atlantic beach, NC
Virginia beach
Palm Springs, CA

Just looking for some hidden gems and some place thats not going to be PACKED in the summer months
THanks!

In my town I believe Its the "El Jardin" Hotel ... Its abandoned now but back in the day Charles Lindberg and Ameilia Erhard stayed there before traveling to Mexico... Lindburg even met his wife in this hotel ...

the Palo Alto Battle field is very historic and scenic ..
you follow the path .. all around there are cactus and native plants and then you get to this gazebo where you can see the cannons off in the distance... you cant hear the cars driving by all you hear are bird chirping

Its amazing to me how some places retain the energy of years ago!! ...

Not necessarily for sight-seeing, but just cool places to visit somewhere in California, Oregon, or Washington.

I can plan for a trip of around 4 days, 3 nights. Don't know yet if it's by car or by plane. It's just 3 people going: me (age 23), my mom (age 53), and my grandfather (age 75).

Thanks for your suggestions!!!
