I want to go down the west coast from Washington to Cali. Any cool places you think I should visit? I'm totally into aquariums and the Monterey Bay one is a must. So just let me know if you have any good spots you like. Beaches are great, too. Thanks!

I would take I-5 to Chehalis, then over to the Coast and Highway 101 and go highway 101 at least as far as San Francisco. You could go Highway 1 in California... but it is a lot more windy and harder to drive, which may or may not be an issue for you. It is definitely scenic!

Check out the two lighthouses just before you cross into Oregon at Astoria.

Astoria, on the far northwest edge of the state along the Columbia river. Pristine and scenic, a number of movies have been filmed there including Kindergarten Cop, The Goonies and Short Circuit. Fort Clatsop, very near Astoria, is where Lewis and Clark wintered during their expedition.

Sea Lion Caves, Florence Oregon, central coast, the only caves on the mainland where you can see Sea Lions in their native domicile.

Bandon is another darling little town, with a petting zoo that is fun ... the Oregon Coast Deer Park.

My expertise ends there, I am afraid to say, but the Oregon Coast is absolutely gorgeous, all the way down.

West coast without a doubt because it's all about being hardcore there and there's also "conscious" music for those close minded people who think all west coast is gangsta rap, from groups like Pharcyde. I prefer gangsta rap to anything else and never really liked east coast's gangsta rappers aside from Kool G Rap and Mobb Deep a little. What else is there? Jadakiss? Styles P? Ja Rule? B*tch please! I don't see what's "deeper" about east. The majority of east coast rapper either talk about how good they are on the microphone or how hip-hop is in a bad state, as if we didn't know. West coast is just harder because the bragging and street stories are more violent. "Smarter lyrics"? They might have more complex lyrics but they hardly say sh-t in the span of 4 minutes with that. I mean, yeah the east coast has got their Public Enemy and that but the west coast also has The Coup and Paris. When talking about "deeper" lyrics, I think Midwest tries harder to represent that. In short, it seems like... West = harsh realities of hood life East = bragging about yourself with more complex lyrics South = being materialistic about your grills, cars, money, hoes and that stuff Midwest = "deeper" and more friendly to the listener And don't take it any of it as criticism cause I like all coast in a way or another. My favorites are 1. West 2. South (not the ******** of today but the older classics + Houston rap) 3. East 4. Midwest (Can't get into the "deeper"/"soulful" scene and only like a select few here)
