Tennessee has a lot to offer. West Tennessee has Memphis, famous for its blues music and the home of Elvis Presley. It also has Reelfoot lake. Middle Tennessee has Nashville with it's diverse culture, and country music industry. East Tennesse has the Smoky Mountains, Cherokee national forest, The Dollywood theme park, Gatlinburg, Lookout mountain.

I driven the coast of Oregon multiple times, and love it. The weather can be wet and dreary, but it can be sunshine and sandy beaches in the same day.
There is a little bit of something for everyone.

Starting in Portland, go to Astoria, where the Goonies was filmed, along with a bunch of other movies, work your way south on the 101.

Seaside State Park is an amazing place to stay if you love camping, the beach is separated from you campsite by a 10' dune.

Pacific City has a beautiful haystack rock, visable best from the Pelican Brew Pub (amazing food and drink, amazing)

Depot Bay has an amazing look out, where there is a really good chance to see whales. Newport has the Rogue Brewery and the Oregon Coast Aquarium.

Florence is my favorite "old town" shopping district, and the river front picture perfect, you can dine over looking the historic bridge, the sun reflecting off the water.

The national seaside has beautiful beach, you can rent atvs for the sand dunes, or walk down the jettys and piers

Reedsport has a great pizza parlor, Bedrock

Charleston, just south of Coos Bay, has the Botanical Gardens, located on a cliff, gorgeous, year round, and you can get fresh crab steamed in front of you, that you can eat at a picnic table at the marina

Next is Bandon, with another good old town shopping district, with a amazing beach if you drive through old town, and there are a lot of rental cottages in the area.

And Brookings has the best sushi.

Well, I would choose coastal Oregon because that is where I spent all three of my Honeymoons ... oh wait ... maybe I shouldn't say that!! LOL!!

Seriously, I love the Oregon Coast, I grew up there, and return when ever possible. So I also have to admit to being biased.

EDIT:
Coastal Oregon is NOT always rainy and dreary ... esp. July- Oct. May and June also have plenty of nice days. Also, while the Pacific Ocean IS cold, it is certainly not uninviting! And the coastline is rugged and gorgeous. True, you can't necessarily predict what the weather will be ... but there is so much to see and do rain OR shine!

Astoria, on the far northwest edge of the state along the Columbia river. Pristine and scenic, a number of movies have been filmed there including Kindergarten Cop, The Goonies and Short Circuit. Fort Clatsop, very near Astoria, is where Lewis and Clark wintered during their expedition.

In Newport, two lighthouses, the Oregon Coast Aquarium, the Quaint "Old Town" area, tidal pools, and much more.

Sea Lion Caves, Florence Oregon, central coast, the only caves on the mainland where you can see Sea Lions in their native domicile.

Coos Bay, on the southern Oregon Coast, once the worlds larges lumber export port until the timber industry dried up. Now home to a casino and the primary town in southwest Oregon along the coast.

Tennessee, mostly for the weather. Even on a honeymoon you may want to leave the boudoir at some point. Coastal Oregon is rainy and dreary. The Pacific Ocean is cold and uninviting.

Tennesee! Oregon has some good ocean views but it is not very romantic. Nothing like the hills of Tennesee and they have good moonshine to start off that great weekend or to help you forget the weekend that didn't work out quite like you planned.

hatfield,
If moonlight walks on the beach, storms, rainbows, beautiful sunsets, nice people, rows of fishing boats tied to the dock, seagulls gliding and screeching, the sound of waves crashing on the rocks, fresh seafood, quaint gift shops, incredible scenery, wonderful aquariums, foggy mornings and unique architecture don't appeal to you then go to Tennesee.
