I live in DC, was wondering where some good beaches are in Maryland and/or Virginia. Preferrably not a tourist trap like Virginia beach, but somewhere maybe off the beaten path, but still nice anyone have any suggestions??

I heard about the "salon" yesterday, but I got disconnected. I've heard that the "salon" is really popular, so I'm sure a lot of you can help me. Or at least put in a good word for me at the "salon!" Even an e-mail address or phone number to the "salon" would be very helpful.

I really, really need help, so give sincere answers please.

I'm about to reserve a room at a Holiday Inn. One of the listed options for a room is Holidome. I have no idea what this means or what Holidome has to do with a room, and their website isn't any help.

All other states have some notable feature.
Either by association, like N. Dakota, or even stereotypes like Arkansas and Wyoming. Even Kansas is at least in the middle of the country and thought of as completely flat.
I can't think of anything notable about Nebraska.

We're planning on moving to Grandblac, Michigan (but not necessarily Grandblanc) within a year. I would have to transfer from college, find a job and a good school for my son. I've never been to Michigan before so I have no idea what to expect besides the freezing winter. I live in Columbus, OH, which I like very much. I like to live where I know I can find almost anything; stores, schools, shopping centers, universities, entertainment, etc. But I don't like to live in the main city, may be 30 min away! I'd like to get some good and not so good point of views! please give me some info about a nice place in Michigan!!!

I am an engineer. So, I'd probably have to situate relatively close to a city. However, I love the mountains and hills and seeing green everywhere and I still want to be relatively close to a lake or river. I love to camp and enjoy fishing and mountain climbing. I'm looking for beautiful country in the U.S. Where would be the best for me to live?
