My family and I are on a low budget and looking to stay close to home (Missouri). I am currently looking in to Eureka Springs, Arkansas. What fun things are there to do besides hiking/biking or anything out-doorsy? What other cities/states other than Arkansas do you recommend?
I really, really need help, so give sincere answers please.
10pts for the best answer. THANKS!!!

There are a few nice bed and breakfast places in Eureka Springs in addition to many motels and the Crescent Hotel (see good review below).
There is the Great Passion Play.
Branson is of course not that far where there is an outlet mall, Silver Dollars City and a lot of shows.
If you have time, you can go to Bentonville to visit the Wal Mart main office and the original store. Fayetteville is just a little further south where you can visit the University of Arkansas and the first home of Bill and Hillary Clinton.
Depending on the time of the year, you can go to the War Eagle (giant arts&crafts) east of Rogers and Springdale.
You mentioned anything beside outdoors stuff. But I like to point out that Beaver Lake is close to Eureka Springs. You can also ride horses on nearby trail or play golf at the Holiday Islands.
Enjoy your trip.

I live in KC and visited Eureka Springs last fall. My husband and I loved it there. Very quaint with unique stores for shopping in the downtown area. We stayed at a bed and breakfast that used to be an old Texaco Station. Very cool!

Hot Springs or Little Rock. Thats about it. Arkansas is just like Mississippi. There not a darn thing to do!
