My husband will be home in late September from spending a year in Iraq. I would like to take him somewhere nice, yet not that expensive and also where our 20 mo old son won't be too much of a bother. (he is attached to my hip and once daddy comes in I dont think he can handle daddy leaving again) So like maybe a good place to go for a weekend. Maybe a cabin or something like that.

I will be moving to Connecticut in August of 2006 I am looking at Hartford and Litchfield counties. I am not very familiar with this area so what towns or areas should I avoid? When I say avoid I mean high drug area, high crime area, or just plain trashy looking. Thanks everyone for your input.

Me and my family are going on vacation to Charleston, South Carolina the week of July 4th. We are going to watch the fireworks show there. I think it's called Patriots Point 4th of July Blast. The article I read about it said that there are hot bands there...does that mean popular pop bands of today, or what? The article also says that the fireworks are shot off of the USS YORKTOWN. Is this a good fireworks show, is it really big, where is the best spot to sit to watch it? Going to rent a car for the family to go on a roadtrip. Should I pay that extra 15 bucks a day for "insurance"? I was always told to NEVER take it. Is it just a gimmick? Should I risk it?
