If not, where was this nasty rest area?

They are all nasty! They are public! BUT I have always made my husband go in and check before I ever entered one.I was afraid someone would be in there.Too many pervs and psychos out there.I never enter one until I know for sure it is safe.

I think that rest areas have improved over the years. A lot of the ones that I remember contained just outhouses which really sucked. They stink and everything else. I think that ever since they started putting in real commodes and sinks they are a lot cleaner and they seem to have a cleaning crew there that constantly take care of them.
I do know that a lot of the restrooms at gas stations can be really nasty, for example some of the restrooms in Kingman, Arizona and the Wickiup area.

Most rest areas are nasty, because their funded by the government, who'd rather spend money on war and other things, rather than a clean toilet....
