We're arriving in Ft. Lauderdale at 1:00 pm and were wondering, should we rush up the 3 hours to Disney to start our vacation there? Or should we chill in Lauderdale and avoid line-ups?? Is there a chance we'll be shut out of a park???

We are goining to drive with two teenage kids from Torono(Canada) to Orlando ,Florida. We need to spend night somewhere in the middle. Should we book a hotel room in advance or it's no big problem to find avalible room, say somwhere between West Virginia and Virginia. Time is right before Xmas(Dec 23), but we are not sure how far we'll get on the first day of our drive.

I am going to Disney World for the 1st time in September with my husband and 2 children. His parents are coming along and his older brother, wife and 2 children. We all get along great. (my husbands parents live with us) My question is should we try to get a 3 bedroom villa in disney for 6 adults and 4 children, or are the villas hard to get? Also which villas are the best? We all get along and are a close family so fighting is not an issue, (our children ages 10,9,6,1) also get along great. Will we have better space in separate rooms? Any suggestions would be great as we have never been to disney before. Thankyou

We're a family, ages 24-56. We're NOT looking to go clubbing. Mom's with us, and we just want to be able to walk around, possibly see some entertainment, have some food and fun. Or, should we go to another Disney theme park?

My family and I are thinking of going to Orlando in 1st week of January. We wanted to know whether its a good time to go. Are the parks still busy at that time? (I don't know when the schools go back in the US. ) Thanks

Our family of 6 is going to Disneyworld in February. Weighing the options of staying in one of the Disney resorts vs. a nearby (within 5 miles) suite-type hotel or "villa". Staying with Disney costs about twice as much - does anyone know if it is worth it? Do the non-Disney hotel shuttle buses run efficiently (quick on/off), or do they have to wait in long lines to get to the gates?

I've heard it argued both ways - looking for input from someone who has done it recently. Hotel recommendations welcomed as well.
