I am going to Disney World for the 1st time in September with my husband and 2 children. His parents are coming along and his older brother, wife and 2 children. We all get along great. (my husbands parents live with us) My question is should we try to get a 3 bedroom villa in disney for 6 adults and 4 children, or are the villas hard to get? Also which villas are the best? We all get along and are a close family so fighting is not an issue, (our children ages 10,9,6,1) also get along great. Will we have better space in separate rooms? Any suggestions would be great as we have never been to disney before. Thankyou

If it doesn't have to be in the resort itself have a look at this page: http://www.pinetreeview.com
It's only 8 miles to Disney and easy to get to and you can go splashing in your own pool after a day of wandering around.
Have fun!

In my experience the villas are hard to get, especially during high season. When we go with ten people, we just go to one of the hotels and get about three rooms. I'd recommend the Wilderness Lodge or the Coronado Springs resort but those are simply my favourites. Disney hotel rooms are the best, completely comfortable, the themes are awesome and I don't really see a reason to choose the villas over a room. I'd definitely look into the hotels though, they're part of the Disney experience.

I would definitely get my own space. Families need their privacy. You will be altogether all day and all evening. You need to have down time as a family. You have to discipline your kids and unless you are all on the same page - this wears on everyone.
Kids on vacation are different than kids at home - because all the rules have changed - and they know they can get away with stuff when grandparents are around.

You will have a great time, it's DisneyWorld, but you have to be realistic about needing your space. Trust me.

Now - about the trip - staying at a Disney property is the only way to go because of all the benefits. And don't miss the water parks!
HAve a great time.!

A villa would be great if you can get one, they book up fast, and are $$$...if nothing else 3 rooms next to each other would work great too.If your husbands parents live with ya, I think I would go the 3 rooms to have some time with your family.

check out a few locations in Kissimmee. Never stay in Orlando if you can't get in on the Disney Resorts and onsite monorail hotels and such. Kissimmee is the touristy area that get lots of Disney tourists. They are bound to have something wonderful and less pricey than a Disney sponsored resort.

I went with a group of youngin's (when I used to go to church) and stayed in a rental townhome with three floors. It was huge. and only 20 minutes from Disney park.

Go to www.love.allabouthoneymoons.co... they can plan any type of trip not just honeymoons. If you tell them what you like and your budget they will plan the perfect trip for you.Best of all the service is free b/c the fee is paid by the Disney.
