Hey all, I'm going to NYC next week and haven't chosen my hotel yet. I've narrowed it down to these two and have reservations at both, but I can't decide. So, I need all the help I can get, as I am a terrible procrastinator and so indecisive.

Chelsea Inn - Double Bed, No elevator, shared bathroom (with 1 other room). In room safe, refrigerator, coffeepot, free contintental breakfast.

Union Square Inn - Double Bed, About $150 more (for the week), but Private Bathroom, also no elevator and no other similar amentities, just breakfast.

The Chelsea Inn has my room on the 4th floor, but the Union Square Inn can't tell me my floor until I get there. I'm not too excited about carrying my bags up 4-5 flights of stairs but these are all I can afford. Please don't suggest other hotels, I leave in 6 days, its a little late to be making additional reservations. Any valid opinions, personal experience or observations of either one are great. Thanks so much!

I have always wanted to go to New York and now have saved nearly enough moeny to do so.

So, now I need to know that when I'm there I wont run out of money!

How much money do you think me and my partner would need to eat, travel, visit various sites and museums etc... all the basic tourist stuff! over a four day trip in late January time?

Also... If you know of any really great places to visit or unmissable sites etc... please let me know... I want to get the most out of my trip!

She is interested in renting a one-bedroom apt probably in the Queens area specifically Astoria but she is flexible. Need advice on how to help her achieve that goal. Things to consider, costs, deposits, etc.

If you've stayed there or even better-work there. I'm thinking about sending my resume. But I haven't been able to find anyone's contact name. I just got an associate's degree in Travel and Hospitality and would really like to work for a hotel (in queens if possible). And please don't answer by telling me how horrible it is to work in hotels, my mind's made up.

Thank you.

I am off to New York on Thursday and I thought I could maybe find out what is going on before I leave. If so, does it go on sale on Wednesday as it does in London?

Need Manhattan apt, 2 bdr, 2 ba. Prefer upper west-side but will consider other areas like downtown. Nothing too fancy but would like space, say 1000-1200 sf minimum. How much do places cost now to rent per month, or buy? Lease would be 1 yr. Again nothing luxurious/fancy but good neighborhood AND SPACE. Old bldg OK too. A "regular Joe" kind of place.

I live in the midwest and needless to say, there isn't any NY-style pizza around here. Do any of you New Yorkers have a good recipe for true New York style pizza?? Thanks.
