How far is Madame Tussaud's from GCT in NYC??

the directions just say walk west when exiting GCT until you reach 7th ave--just how far is the walk?? 2blocks,3, 7?? I'll have some kids w/me so I'd like to prepare in advance. Also- any recommendations for eats would be appreciated--thanks

It is just 5 and-a-half blocks down 42sd Street.
Madison Ave, 5th Ave (NY Public Libarary), 6th Ave (Bryant Park), 7th Ave & Broadway (Times Square).
GCT is on the Uptown/North/Right side of 42nd and Madame Tussaud's is on the downtown/South/Left side, Between 7th and 8th Ave.
With Kids, in the late fall/winter be aware that may be a bit if wind in the Concrete Canyon of 42nd Street.
For fun place to eat, try the food court on the lower level of GCT.

you could take the 7 train to the west side if you're not up for the walk.

but in the area of maddame tsauds, there is a chevy's past it and across the street. an applebees, practically right next door. a McDonalds on the same block, an Ice cream shop across the street. go back to 7th, you'll find a Sbarros, tons of Pizza places, a red lobster....

for a real treat, leaving Mdme T's i'd say walk to 7th, make a left go about 2 blocks, and on the left is Bubba Gump Shrimp.

get out of grand central's 42nd street exit, and make a right. head staright over west. to maddam tussauds. it is on west 42nd street between 7 and 8 avenue. 6 minute walk.

it is right next to mcdonalds.

It will take you only 10 minutes to go their by foot. And you can enjoy fast food as they are being served at fast food outlets nearby.
