102 story observatory in Empire state building. Best place to see is ground zero. Best place to be at around 6:00 a.m. is Rockefeller Center.

best sight ? sit at a sidewalk cafe or inside a cafe and watch the people that go by.
You will find it very entertaining.
then walk a little, up and down the street.
Any street.
Just come and take a look, you will love it.
Does not matter what you call it, just come and see for yourself.
Go inside some buildings, ride the elevator up.
talk to a doorman
talk to a mailman
talk to anybody, just look around, enjoy yourself.

Although I loved the answer about the pride, My favorite sight is around Centerl Park in a horse and buggy. Also FAO schwartz

Depends on when you're there. This time of year, you can stroll dwn 5th Avenue and look at all the Christmas displays in the stores... and it's free!
