I was just wondering what the best things are to do there that are affordable or even free. I want to have a good time but not spend a bundle either.

What are the best clubs that are not expensive to get into? One of my friends thought of getting a VIP pass for $120 that will let you go to all clubs but I really don't think this is worth it, we are only there for 2 nights.

Thanks for any tips or info in advance!

I live near S.F. so I would like to be near the strip, not really on the strip (about 15-20 minutes away at the furthest). I have to get a place there before I move, so I was wondering what are good areas and what are the bad areas? I will be looking on craigslist so I dont want to get stuck in the ghetto. Thanks!

I'm asking about casual shoes that are usually popular in clubs somewhat trendy but not exactly your all leather italian dress shoes: I.e. All-white G-Units/Air Force Ones, leather/suede Adidas racers (the ones that say Good Year on em), etc.
Can you wear those in clubs like Pure, Light, Tao, Tryst, etc. Or am I gonna be turned away because they're still considered "sneakers"

They don't have the gym branch I go to at Las Vegas, but I can't stop my workout routine. Are there any decent gyms in vegas where I can purchase a day pass to workout, preferably with treadmills and a nice swimming pool????

So I'm gonna be in Vegas tonight (thursday), friday, and saturday night. Plan to club 1-2 of those nights..hell maybe even all three nights. My girlfriend and I, and our group are all in our early 20s..we're not in the singles scene looking for a third party or anything, but still want to have a good time dancing and good atmosphere etc...Hopefully not feeling like a Sardine all night. Any club recommedations on clubs for those nights? (I know that some clubs are packed and then dead on other nights).

i hate getting shocked! i get shocked in dry places such as las vegas. plus, there's so much electricity there so i get painfully shocked left and right. i hate it! it hurts! does wearing 100% cotton and jewelry such as gold/silver bracelets, rings, necklaces help ease people from getting shocked? i already know rubber conducts electricity, but what about cotton and jewelry? and why is it that there are people who do not get shocked at all? what's their secret? thank y'all!

My husband and I are in our mid 40's and are thinking of selling out and moving to Vegas. We are both licensed professionals where we are from. He has over 20 years in all kinds of Contruction and I have over 20 years customer service and management/office experience.
We are looking to move because of the weather, it's cold where we're from. And for the financial uplift that we have heard we will get in our fields in Vegas. As well as for other personal reasons. We need advise as to where to look for affordable decent housing. As well as the job market, and any other advise or comments that would be helpful.
We are moving from Utah. The reasons are: Cold Weather causing health problems, the pollution of constant inversions, "the church" running everything, Low paying jobs with no security, we are both licensed professionals in our respective careers with both having over 20 years experience and can't even make $40 K in a year together. Will Vegas change these things for the better?

Has anyone visited Las Vegas recently? My family is taking a trip there in October and we would like to stay somewhere reasonably priced that is also clean and family-friendly. Does such a place exist in Vegas? One of my best friends is getting married at the Mandalay Bay, but staying there is out of the question because rooms are about $300.00 per night. Please help!

We are going at the beginning of March and was curious what your experiences were. Was it nice? Were the rooms spacious? I value individual reviews better than simple online stuff. Thanks, guys, this is my 1st trip to Vegas.

I realize this is not a question, more of an opinion; but i don't understand how people can say that Las Vegas is expensive. Expensive compared to what? Boise, ID? I guess. I live in LA, and the rent in LA is what i would call expensive. I lived in Vegas for a year, and the rent was a steal compared to LA. I had a brand new 1 bedroom apt in summerlin that was running for 950 dollars. If this was in LA, it would have run for atleast twice that amount. Vegas is the cheapest place you can live if you want to be entertained 24/7. It has great weather, activities, restaurants, and LA/SD/PHX/Tahoe and the river are all within a morning drive.

So if you are wondering if Vegas is expensive, it just depends on how much you are making. What can make Vegas expensive is falling into the lifestyle. But if you can manage to stay away from the temptations, and go about living a normal life, you'd be amazed by how inexpensive it is.

MOVE TO VEGAS!
