My family is considering moving there and I was wondering how severe their winter was. We are from southern California so any information would be helpful. By the way, Florissant is by Canyon Springs, Colorado.

We are a family with many young ones. We homeschool for health reasons, but would like to explore private schools for the future. We would like to start attending church, but are their catholic churches out there? Is it diverse enough to raise bi-racial children? We like Castle Rock and Longmont so far. We have not lived anywhere but Southern California, any tips on car and house upkeep in snowy conditions? We love doing family things together, this seems like a great place for that....anyone with experience in Colorado living? Are house, car and health insurance less expensive for a reason? Any info will be appreciated, really!

We are relocating to the area and have a choice of where to live and I would like any input from people who live in the area. We can live in the suburbs or Denver or Colorado Springs or Boulder. We have 2 children, but we like to be in an area we can walk to reataurants and shops. We will be renting comfortable with up to $2000. We like nice complexes with work out areas and pools. Any info would be appreciated.
