We are age 21-22 and looking for a relaxed, but youthful atmosphere at Cape Cod. Other important qualities would be scenic beauty and access to local treasures.

Im a 29 yr old SF thinking about moving to Boston suburbs.
I dont have to be too close to the city, half an hour by mass transit would be okay.
I do want a safe, upscale town that offers good shopping nearby.
I dont want to rent and would like to buy small home for myself.
What towns best fit my criteria ?
Thanks !

I know, "tourist-ey" isn't a word, but I'm moving there, and I would like to know what true Bostonians do! I love the Sox, been to Fenway, and taken hella lotta tours there already.

I'm from Cambridge, MA. A city right next to Boston. If I was in another state, away from New England and someone asked where I was from should I say Cambridge or Boston. I'm assuming they wouldn't know where Cambridge is unless they know where Harvard is.

I am considering moving to the Boston area from Alabama (a needed change, trust me). Can anyone suggest nice suburban neighborhoods that I should look into, preferable with young professionals and also bars, coffee shops, or lounges that may have spoken word or open mic?
