The Science Musuem is always good for kids and they have IMAX theaters also. The Swan Boats which are near the Public Garden are always a big hit too. Hopefully we'll have good weather this weekend!

Also go to the North End for lunch or dinner - lots of family-friendly but local Italian restaurants there. (They're unique to Boston - there are Applebee's, TGI Fridays and other "family" restaurants in Boston... but you can find those anywhere!)

Another thought: If the weather is good you can take a ferry to the Boston Harbor Islands. There's an old fort on Georges Island and the ferry is always fun. Great view of the skyline of Boston! Ferries leave from Long Wharf which is near the aquarium and the Marriott. That reminds me too, the aquarium is good too!

There's a lot of things u can do in Boston with kids but i'll just give you a few: Definetly go to the Science Museum which is on the subway green line..after that you can hang around Fanieul Hall in downtown boston, it has a lot of stores, restaurants, and plenty of street performers as well. Oh, and if you get to Boston Commons you can take a the duck tour which will take you to all around the best of boston. good luck!

A listing of links to events, museums and sightseeing in Boston can be found at the site listed below. The Museum of Science and its Omni Theater are worth a visit. If you have a car the Discovery Museum in Acton (20 minutes west of Boston) is designed especially for children.

Take the kids on the Swan Boats, and for a walk around the Commons. Get some food, and eat out on the grass, or walk down to the Fanueil Hall area. The kids would love all the excitement and street perfomers in the area. There are cute little shops and places to eat. Also, the aquarium is right across the street! The weather is supposed to be BEAUTIFUL this weekend!

I know a few people said it but you have to bring them to the Childrens Museum. They are soo much fun for both ages and you get to rest while they stay busy. Plan on them being there for a couple of hours becuase there is lots to see and do. Lots and lots of hands on stuff they will enjoy and play with.

Walk the Freedom Trail with them, or at least part of it.

And I used to love the Children's Museum in the South End, but that was 30 years ago, it may be lame now.
