Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum- her last name is Gardner. I believe it is a religious museum, more of library that what you would probably consider a museum.

it's named after Isabella Stewart Gardner. Doesn't have anything at all to do with gardens or gardening. It's mainly an art museum but it's really pretty, and has the personal collection of Isabella Stewart Gardner. Definitely worth seeing - it's an amazing collection! And it's in a nice section of Boston and it's near the Museum of Fine Arts.

Isabella Stewart Gardner first welcomed visitors to her museum on New Year's Day, 1903. On that evening guests listened to the music of Bach, Mozart, and Schumann, gazed in wonder at the courtyard full of flowers, and viewed one of the nation's finest collections of art. Today, visitors experience much the same thing. The Gardner Museum has remained essentially unchanged since its founder's death in 1924. Unchanged but certainly not stagnant. Three floors of galleries surround a garden courtyard blooming with life in all seasons.
The galleries are filled with paintings, sculpture, tapestries, furniture, and decorative arts from cultures spanning thirty centuries.

It's not a religious museum, but a museum of art mainly from the Italian Rennaissance (so you see a lot of Madonna and Child paintings). Works by Raphel, Titian. The museum itself is gorgeous and styled like an Italian palace with a central courtyard. It had some major works stolen a few years back and I am not sure if they ever found them. Definitely worth a visit.
