My friend and I are graduating from college this spring and plan on taking jobs in Boston, MA. We are both from New York so we are not familiar with the Boston Proper area. What is a young, safe and lively place for us to settle down, that has access to the T and is an easy commute to Downtown Boston? Thanks!

I will attend BC in the fall of 2007 as a graduate business student. I have never been to Boston or anywhere near the vicinity.

As of now, I will be on a tight budget, and would like all utilities included. I’ve searched online and found some places that offer great deals, but they have longer commute times. I would like to be in the center of something...nightlife, activities, etc.

I'm in the process of saving money for the sole purpose of higher living expenses.

Any suggestions for neighborhoods? Apartments? Condos? House for rent?

Hello... I am from NY and currently looking for a new job. It's way difficult now as a lot of companies move on to another state since it's cheaper. I'm SO NOT ready to move to NJ cuz of it's horrible location and public transportation. I was thinking of trying out Boston though I've never been there but I'm willing to move there if I can find a job there. My problem is that I've never been there so I'm not sure exactly which places in Boston to look for. What I'm looking for is cheap rent, easy access to public transportation from home to job and anywhere exciting to explore. I'm hoping that the are will be safe and have cool people. I don't mind family area but hopefully it'll be within distance of laundromat, supermarket, bookstore or library. Oh, anything else I need to know about moving to Boston??? Please help. Thank you.

What is the best neighborhood to live in in Boston? I'm 15, I live up in NH, and am way more independent then I should be. (I am not having sex, using drugs or drinking.) Obviously, I'm not old enough to get my own apartment in Boston yet (or anywhere,) but I like to plan ahead, even if these plans aren't definite.

I want to know which neighborhood would be safest for an 18 yr-old girl, would have a good atmosphere, be CLEAN, and not extremely expensive. (i.e. shops, rent, food.)

Think you could help me out here?
