we are planning a trip to salem and as i am going through the lists of available attractions, i am curious just how many witch museums there really are...they list the witch history musum, the witch museum, the witch dungeon museum, the witch house, the spellbound museum, a pirate museum, a wax museum, etc... are these actually seperate museums or connected to eachother or referred to by different names??? any help is appreciated. which museums and/ or attractions would you recommend? we are travelling during halloween with our 2 daughters who are 5 and 9. any info on boston's spookyworld, the lizzie borden b and b in fall river, and salem's psychic fair is also appreciated..thanks.

i hear halloween in salem is the mardi gras of the north, i've been to mardi gras and really don't want to have to deal with too many naked people...LOL. is there any ghetto areas or areas or 'hot spots' with alot of muggings and/or crime during halloween when the tourists are in record numbers? we want to have fun with the kids but want to make sure we are safe as well. any info would be appreciated. thanks.

I am looking to move to this area and rent a small place in an affluent suburb. I want an area with great restaurants, commuting and a suburb feel.

Because if it is, it's unfair that my friend does not have to have a traffic violation if he attends traffic school and I do here in Boston.

Need some inspiration for Spring break with 3 boys 8, 10 and 16. We have visited Wisonsin Dells few months ago so it is out of question. We are members of local Zoos and museums so have been there many times in Chicago land area.

Suggest activities, day trips, ideas for the parent of 3 boys. You may recommend things for the teenager, or the preteen.
One day trip is also a good idea and we love travelling by van.

I'm planning to move to the Boston area fairly soon and wondered if Salem might be the place to live if getting to downtown boston was fairly quick. (In San diego, it takes me one hour to go a distance of about six miles. :/

There's this Hotel I heard about. I think it might be in the Back Bay. They have a roof top restuarant and a pool that you can swim in. Does anyone know the name of it?

I am a girl-scout leader at a Boston area school, and for our end of the year trip I am bringing the kids to Salem, Mass. They are 4th and 5th grade, and I myself have never been. What things would you recommend to do with the girls dring this day trip, that they will both like, and is on the cheaper side.

I've always been interested in the Salem witch trials that took place there, and I would like to spend the weekend there in Oct. this year, preferably around Halloween time with my boyfriend and my 12 year old son.
