For the amount of time it takes to go all the way from Leominster to Boston back out to Worcester, you're better off taking a cab.

The schedules and fares are on www.mbta.com that's the website for the transit system, they run the commuter rail trains and subway in Boston. You'd have to take the commuter rail from Leominster to North Station, get on the Orange Line, then change to the Red Line at Downtown Crossing, go one stop to South Station and then the commuter rail out to Worcester. It would probably take a long time. But like I said go to that website they will have schedules and fares

Mike may live in Boston but he could have advised you that
you need not go to South Station.

More quick and convenient: Once on the Orange Line subway do not change at Downtown Crossing but continue 3 more stops to Back Bay; connect directly with the Worcester train there.

Why Mike forgot this I cannot understand.

You would have to take two commuter rail trains, but to be safe and sure about the schedules and fares, I would check out mbta.com.
