What the heck does this mean? I am American and was watching a British show recently where they used this term. Is it like a lawn sale in your trunk?

I am trying to find a car rental place close to: 1 Glasshouse Street, Piccadilly Circus, London, W1A 4BZ. Mapquest seems thouroughly confused by this and I have no idea if these numbers really mean anything or are just at Random. Is W1A 4BZ like our zip codes in the U.S.? Is Picadilly just a helpful note of where something is, or is that an actual township or city name?

I need to catch a bus from Edinburgh's city centre to Glasgow Main airport next Friday morning. Anyone know what bus I need and where I can catch it (and buy a ticket to get on it)? Also, if you can let me know if it's a direct bus, or if I need to get off somewhere in Glasgow and then catch another bus from there to the airport? Thanks a million!!! :)

Where abouts is this exactly? I believe it's very close to London, right? Is it in London or just outside of it? Is it an expensive place to live? The houses I've seen there from pictures are beautiful! Is it near the ocean, countryside, or city??

I've been given the choice of spending my next year of high school in either Scotland or England, which should I choose?I would be doing a student exchange and living with a host family. I do want to be able to travel to London a lot, but I figure I can work this summer and save money so that I can make a trip in the case I go to Scotland.

I'm a 16 year old girl, I'll be 17 once the program starts- I'm all for having a good education and I really do care about school- but I want to live somewhere exciting where I can party and stuff-
-So basically which one would be more fun? I figure that the schools are basically the same in both places so now I just want to know where I would have the most fun-

PS- I've been to Ireland and they don't give a **** who drinks, but do they in Scotland or England?

All this European legislation coming in ... do you think we will eventually have to drive on the left? And, if so, how difficult would it be to change round all the road signs, feeder roads and all that. Wouldn't it cost a fortune? Plus all our cars would have to be changed since the drivers would be next to the pavement rather than having a centre view of the road.
What do you think?

I have a 4 week electricians course in Barlborough and I am looking for accomodation for under £100 per week. All the local B and B's are far too pricey and i don't fancy camping in mid January!
If anyone has a room to rent or knows of somewhere with cheap accomodation please let me know.
Many thanks,
Owen.
