Looking for the cheapest transfer possible. This used to be Terravision but they have put up their fares so they are no cheaper than National Express. I get a 1/3 off Rail fares which is only marginally more than the coach fares after discount. Used to pay £11.80 return but current prices i am getting is £14 coach, £16 rail return. Does anyone know of an even cheaper option? On a tight budget

I'm taking 20 40something blokes to Belfast for a stag weekend, and want to find a decent restaurant that can accommodate us. Any ideas?

I was driving up the A3 from Portsmouth yesterday and I saw a sign paying London 50 miles.

This made me think where in London is it 50 miles to? Is it 50 miles to the outskirts or some point in the middle.

I guess this must be the same for motorway signs to large cities, say Birmingham or Manchester from the M6 - A mileage is shown but how is this calculated and to what point is it calculated to.

Sensible answers only please.

i did some touring around europe, i went to ireland to see family in a village close to wexford and everyone was very nice to me even the complete strangers. even in dublin, a large city people were still as friendly.

when i got to england (london) alot of people 'wind you up' in other words really really pi$$ you off just for fun then expect you to take it as a joke. they also tend to pick on you about random things like being Australian or forgetting to shave for 1 or 2 days. also if i asked someone on the bus or tube for directions they would completely ignore me and i am very friendly and not scary looking.

the only reason i'll go back to london is to see relatives but next time I go to europe i will spend most of the time ireland, spain maybe even bulgaria. eireann go brach :P

There's a big group of us planning to go to Belfast next year. What's the best pub or bar for a group of 40something men to drown their sorrows in that city?

Hi there,
I am looking to take my boyfriend away next weekend, and am looking for something romantic, maybe in the countryside but within reach of some activities. I was having a look at going somewhere round thorpe park or another theme park. Any ideas folks.

I've been told that our CDs and DVDs have different codes or something in them and they're not compatible with any British DVD or CD players. Is that true?

My friend lives in the UK and I wanted to buy him this certain CD, but it's not going to work on his stereo?

i went to the tower of london one day with my dad and i was taking some kool pictures with a disposable camera, cuz my digital was at home, and my dad wanted a picture with this lady dressed in medieval clothing so i took it. when i got home i got the pictures developed and the one i took had a white figure infront. when i took the picture no one was around so it couldnt have been someone walking in front. the lens couldnt have been open that long either cuz it was a cheap disposable camera. they do say the tower of london is haunted by many people who were killed there.
i dont know if its a ghost or what??
what do you think?
