Your best way would be by train go to http://nationalrail.co.uk
There is a journey planner on there. You can get a train from londons kings cross takes about 1and half hours.

As far as i know. You would have to get a train for Ipswich from Liverpool street station and change there for a train to Bury StEdmunds which is on the Cambridge line.

The whole journey would probably take just over 2 hours

Further to Richards reply, you can also get a coach which will be cheaper but take longer
