I'm moving from one coast to the other and have 6-8 boxes 18" on a side. I don't have a lot of cash. I heard you can ship boxes on Greyhound buses. Is that cheap? Are there other alternate methods? Thanks!

So, I was at the airport the other day on my way to a cruise and I saw a sign that said you can't bring, ninja throwing stars, or dynamite! I don't know a whole lot of people that would pack dynamite in their carry on.

We moved from hamilton to vancouver a couple years ago and were unable to find someone to rent to us over the phone, since they didnt trust that we would show up (reasonably). we are planning another move soon from vancouver to st.johns newfoundland and would like to avoid the cost of staying in a motel for a couple weeks while looking for an apartment, yet if no one will rent to us over the phone what other option is there?

I am leaving to go on a trip in about 2 weeks. I haven't received my passport yet. The rep. on the phone said that if I do not get it in another week they'd put a rush on it. Does this mean the same thing as expedite? Is this really going to get it to me in time!!!? I've spent alot of money for this damn trip. Anyone had similar experiences?

I need to ship several big boxes (about 20x20x20"). Where are all these rumors about free boxes at UPS and FedEx coming from? They want $10-15 per box! After seeing Uline sells them for $2 apiece, I don't feel like paying %600 more.

Is there any place to get boxes in Chicago that's not a UPS/Kinko/etc.? What do people do with all their used moving boxes?

I am supposed to be leaving for a trip to Italy in ten days and I still don't have my passport. From the time that I applied it was exactly 8 weeks. I did expedite my passport on March 1st and I am leaving in March 17th. I called them today (March 7th) and still they haven't "picked" it up for the expidite request. I am getting worried that I won't be able to go on my honeymoon trip with my fiance. Anyone have any ideas that would allow us to get the process sped up? Or anyone have any ideas at all?

Having not done a great deal of travelling before I could really use any advice on things like Visa Applications, innoculations, what I will need, any good books on planning trips, places I really should go to and any other tips on what I should take with me and how I should carry it around with me. I'll be gone for about a year. Thanks!
